"These remaining thoughts..." refers to the confrontation with the very first stage of losing a loved one. The vacuum of all-encompassing numbness, the chaos and panic.
Of being separated from a part of yourself, something that has always belonged to you and will never return. These remaining thoughts is about enduring this very first stage of loss, moving towards the deafening silence and its acceptance.
These remaining thoughts... was dedicated to the father and grandmother of Monique Duurvoort.
